Thames Valley Park is marking Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May) with a series of engaging events designed to help occupiers step away from their desks, reconnect with nature, and prioritise their wellbeing.

Taking place across the park throughout the week, the programme offers a variety of accessible, lunchtime-friendly activities that encourage relaxation, mindfulness and connection.

Reconnect with Nature – 12 May

The week begins with a guided lunchtime nature walk, led by Walk Works. This one-hour session invites participants to explore the park’s green spaces, enjoy fresh air, and take a mindful break from the working day. It’s the perfect opportunity to reset both body and mind while discovering new surroundings.

Get Hands-On with Planting – 13 May

On Tuesday, occupiers can take part in a relaxed outdoor planting session, helping to plant viburnum shrubs within the park. This simple, mindful activity offers a chance to slow down, connect with colleagues, and experience the wellbeing benefits of spending time in nature — no experience required.

Time to Unwind – 14 May

Wednesday offers two opportunities to relax and recharge:

  • A pop-up wellbeing session at David Lloyd Reading, where participants can enjoy a short upper body massage or calming shiatsu treatment, designed to relieve tension and reduce stress in just 10–12 minutes.
  • Later in the day, a Spirit Sound Bath session provides a deeply restorative experience using soothing sound frequencies to promote relaxation, improve focus, and support emotional balance.

With all sessions designed to fit conveniently into the working day, Thames Valley Park’s Mental Health Awareness Week programme makes it easy for occupiers to take meaningful breaks and prioritise their mental wellbeing.

Occupiers are encouraged to sign up in advance via thamesvalleypark.com and explore the full range of activities available throughout the week.
