In just three short months since our volunteer programme began, almost 100 individuals from across the park have participated in various volunteering opportunities. Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve accomplished so far:

  • Litter Picking Events: Ensuring our common areas remain clean, safe, and welcoming.
  • River Thames Clean-up Drives: Protecting our waterways, including local marine life.
  • Wildflower Planting Sessions: Enhancing biodiversity with colourful, native plants.
  • Whip Tree Planting Activities: Promoting greener spaces with improved air quality.

Doing good for the environment can bring a unique sense of pride and fulfilment, and getting involved in our volunteer programme is a fantastic way to experience these benefits. Not only are our occupiers making a difference in the community but it also helps boost their own wellbeing, offers new skills, and builds confidence.

These initiatives help occupiers feel more connected to their environment. For instance, one participant, who had been working remotely from TVP since 2014, made a special effort to join the wildflower planting event which is a rare visit to the site for them that proved deeply rewarding.

The response from our volunteers has been incredibly positive. Another volunteer shared their appreciation for the programme’s flexible and inclusive nature, making it easy for anyone to get involved. These activities not only enrich our community but also encourage occupiers to visit the office, adding an extra layer of purpose and satisfaction to their day.

Looking ahead, we have more exciting opportunities for you to make a difference, including painting benches, bridges, and signs. Click here to sign up!
