At Thames Valley Park, we are always thinking about what more we can do in playing our part to protect the planet.
As such, we are thrilled to announce the electrification of our popular shuttle bus fleet with the introduction of two zero-emission minibuses. The electric minibuses will provide free-of-charge transport for occupiers between Thames Valley Park and Reading Station.
But our commitment to protecting both people and planet won’t stop there – in early 2024, we will roll out two additional, larger electric buses, meaning our entire shuttle bus fleet will be completely zero-carbon. Users of the TVP Life app will also be able to track the new buses and plan their journeys as normal.
To mark the arrival of the first minibuses, we hosted a special event on Monday 2 October at the Here Building. A networking session for employees at businesses across the park was accompanied by tea, coffee and refreshments and followed by a ride on the new electric minibuses. Guests were then treated to a free lunch at the always-excellent Sanofi’s restaurant.
Rachael Millward, Thames Valley Park’s General Manager, shared her thoughts: “It was fantastic to see our occupiers coming together to celebrate this initiative, that provides an excellent, sustainable service to everyone at Thames Valley Park.
These two buses are just a small part of our plans to keep Thames Valley Park a clean, pollution free environment in the heart of nature, and I’m very excited to see the two larger buses join us at the park early next year”.
If you have any questions, feedback, or require additional information about the new electrified bus services or the TVP app, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Thames Valley Park community. Together, we can drive positive change and create a brighter, more sustainable future.
