Take time out of your busy schedule and get into the festive spirit by building and decorating a pre-baked gingerbread house! Taking place in the newly refurbished NOW Building (Building 4 next to Microsoft), the event gives you the chance to see the new Net Zero Carbon Buildings! 

Free soft drinks will be provided for all event goers along with plenty of Christmas music. Whether you choose to attend with colleagues or alone, the event hosts will be on hand to welcome you and give you the opportunity to meet new people at the park. 

The workshop is FREE to all park innovators and will be hosted by Lottie (Lifestyle Manager for HERE and NOW and Rachael (General Manager for Thames Valley Park). The following will be provided on the day to help create your house: 

  • 1 Gingerbread House Kit per person
  • 1 mixing bowl and silicone spatula to mix the foundation of your gingerbread house
  • 1 fully pasteurised egg white and lemon juice to use with the icing sugar provided in the kit to put the house together
  • 1 reusable silicone baking tray liner to build your house on 

*Please note that the gingerbread house once built will be 18cm sq x 20cm H and you will need to bring your own container to take your creation home. 

The event will be taking place on the following dates and time:

Monday 6 December: 12:30pm – 1:30pm 

Tuesday 7 December: 12:30pm – 1:30pm

Wednesday 8 December: 12:30pm – 1:30pm 

There are 22 spaces available each day, so book your space via the TVP Life App so you don’t miss out. 

To download the TVP Life app, please follow the following instructions: 

  1. Download the TVP Life App from the Apple App Store or Google Play. 
  2. Register for an account on the app by clicking ‘Register’ and enter your name to set up the account. 
  3. Search for ‘Thames Valley Park’ and your company in the list and click confirm. 
  4. Enter your work email address and choose a password for your account. 
  5. The app will email you a confirmation code to verify your email address. Input the code onto your app where requested and press continue. 
  6. Choose your job role as ‘occupant’, choose your mode of transport for how you travel to work, then choose ‘ground floor’.
  7. Smile and upload a photo of yourself for your digital ID pass
  8. Read and agree to the terms and conditions then click ‘accept’ to access the app. 

Once you have registered, go to the events page and select the date of the workshop you wish to attend.

Please note: Parking is available at the front of Building 4 for those that wish to drive to the event. Building works are still taking place at the HERE Building (Building 5) so contractors will be onsite and visitors are asked not to enter this building.
