After three years of planning and effort, we are excited to reveal the transformation of the underpass and containers at Thames Valley Park. This project highlights the natural beauty and community spirit of the area, drawing inspiration from the park’s greenery, water, and wildlife.

The transformation features two stunning murals designed and executed by artist Captain Kris. These interconnected murals, one on the containers and the other on the underpass, were carefully crafted to enhance the welcoming experience for all who pass through. Captain Kris’s artwork captures the essence of Thames Valley Park, bringing together bold, vibrant designs that reflect the park’s natural beauty and the spirit of the community.

What makes this project even more significant is the collaboration with park occupiers, who expressed an interest in contributing to the artwork. With Captain Kris’s guidance, they joined in the process, volunteering to help paint parts of the murals on the containers. This collaboration not only added a personal touch but also reinforced the sense of community in the park’s enhancement.

This transformation was made possible through the efforts of many individuals and teams. We extend our thanks to Captain Kris for his exceptional artistry and to everyone who contributed to making this vision a reality.

The revitalised underpass and containers are designed to be more than just functional spaces – they now serve as inviting landmarks for commuters, walkers, and visitors, offering a fresh perspective on the park. We invite you to visit Thames Valley Park to experience the transformation firsthand. This updated space offers a unique opportunity to connect with the park in a new way.
